1. Visit Musuem Row in Garden City. Withing walking distance from each other, you'll find the Children's Museum, the Cradle of Aviation Museum, the Nassau County Firefighter's Museum as well as Nunley's Carousel. Free parking and a ton of hands-on exhibits and fun for all ages.

2.Enjoy flowers and gardens?  160 acres of landscaped gardens, trees and flowers makes this a unique visit. They offer many events throughout the year as well.Consider an afternoon at Old Westbury Gardens

3. Sands Point Park and Preserve - with it's "castles"( mansions) and trails that lead to the beach make for a mixed day of exploring antiques, paintings, art and nature.
